Winter Quarter Highlights
What a privilege it was to have Pastor Barry Eggehorn from Hope Christian Community located in Burien, Washington, lead us in a three-day worship intensive for songwriting. Gifted and anointed as a worship leader and songwriter, Barry shared how the Holy Spirit and Scripture helps to write worship songs; how to write songs through the many tools learned; how to analyze other worship songs and what makes some great; how to use “hooks and motifs;” how the melody and harmony effect the emotions of a song…and much more!
It was exciting to learn the process of “creating” a worship song from beginning to the end guided by Barry’s expert help and guidance. All who attended were greatly inspired and encouraged to use the wonderful tools learned in the class to create their own worship song. If you missed this class, be sure to watch for the next worship modular April 5-7. The theme will be The Ministry of Worship presented by various regional worship leaders.
