The Three in One.

THE THREE IN ONE!

Winter quarter started with an amazing three days of worship and the Word focused on the Trinity!

On Tuesday, Beth Drahota led worship as we focused our hearts on God the Father. Sharing from Ephesians 1:3, Pastor Dan shared how much the Father loves each one of us.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.”

The Father comes after us because He loves us! The Father not only loves us but accepts us, is for us, frees us, protects us, vindicates us and assures us that nothing will separate us from His love.

On Wednesday, Pastor James Beirne led us in worshipping God the Son! Pastor John Hammer preached a powerful message stressing the importance of seeing Jesus as the center of Scripture and the center of our lives. “When you have the Son…you have everything!”

This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise Him up at the last day (John 5:39-40).”

Religion will rob a believer of seeing Christ in all of Scripture. Scripture is “not about me, but it is about Christ.”

“Truly, all of us need a radical conversion! When we realize how bad our sin is, we will come to realize that we are all forgiven much!”

“He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins (Col. 1:13-14).”

“To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory (Col. 1:27).”

Pastor John shared, “Christ is in us, and it is vital to make Him the center of our lives.”

On Thursday, Pastor Geoff Harmon led worship through the anointing of the Holy Spirit, who was our focus for that morning. Led in the anointing, Pastor Herb Marks shared John 14:26: “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” He also shared I Corinthians 12:7, “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all.” Each believer is given a manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.

And Acts 1:8:

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth.”

The Holy Spirit is at work to bring you into intimacy with the Lord. The manifest presence of God is to active in each one of us, for the sake of others. We are to ask through the power of the Holy Spirit, what it is that the Lord is saying to us. We were encouraged to put off anything that would grieve the Holy Spirit and to treasure His presence in our hearts.

THANK YOU TO PASTORS DAN, JOHN, AND HERB FOR A WONDERFUL WEEK OF TEACHING AND ENCOURAGEMENT!
